Here is a quick look at the Christmas lights on the San Antonio River Walk. There were three types of boats on the river that night, the usual tours, dinner cruises and boats with carolers. During the holidays you can reserve the boats for $150 to take caroling down the river. They supply the songs and music, you supply the people. It’s a great activity for groups. We would have done one of the tours down the river so you could see more of the lights, but the line was extremely long, so we opted to just walk the river. Stay tuned till the end, when Jason Foreman decided to join in with one groups rendition of the “Twelve Days of Christmas” from the shore. Thanks to Sabine Aviation for this vision of the River Walk. Just google San Antonio River Walk on maps, and it will take you to the start of the walk. There are many shops and restaurants along the way. You could spend the day in a leisurely walk down the river.

This is only one of the great things to do in San Antonio and we will revisit the city at a later date for a more intensive visit… maybe by train! But for now, we just wanted to a take a quick look at the Christmas lights on the river since we were nearby in Wimberley.

Thanks to Sabine Aviation and Jason LeLeux for sponsoring this little tour down the river. For now, just enjoy the lights on the San Antonio River Walk while you are On the Road with Penny.
